The real breeding of finnraccoon (Nyctereutes procyonoides) began during the 1970’s. It has a thicker fur than the likes of a fox, and the colour varies from different tones of brown mixed with black. The finnraccoon is a refined version of the raccoon dog, which originally originates from East Asia. During months in the winter, the activity of the finnraccoon decreases. But due to being fed on the farms, they don’t hibernate during winter at all.
