Silver fox

The silver fox (Vulpes vulpes) is a refined version of maybe the most known fox in nature; the red fox. It was this type of fox that gave a start to the whole fur animal industry. In Finland, the silver fox was being farmed as early as in the 1910’s. The silver fox is silver-grey and black to its colour. By refining the silver fox even more, new types and colours of the fox have been produced.
